Do you enjoy being outside and working with kids? Volunteers will enjoy a week of Girl-Led activities and camp perks. Available roles below.
Unit Leader Role Definition: An adult volunteer who has a current Girl Scout Membership and background check. They supervise and implement Scout safety, support Program Aides and Program Aide Interns in their leadership roles, and handle Scout behavior issues. They should be engaged with the Scouts with a fun and caring attitude and should role model the Girl Scout Law at all times.
Program Aide Role Definition: An older Scout who has a current Girl Scout Membership, has completed Program Aide Requirements and has completed a camp session leading younger Scouts. They are responsible for helping Unit Leader supervise Scout safety, support Program Aide Interns in their leadership role, AND will lead activities throughout camp. Program Aides are expected to learn their assigned activity and be prepared to teach and lead younger Scouts. They are familiar and able to lead their group with Girl Scout Songs and Games. A Program Aid should be engaged with Scouts with a fun and caring attitude and should role model the Girl Scout Law at all times.
Program Aide Intern Role Definition: A 7th grade or higher Cadette Scout who has a current Girl Scout Membership, has completed the Program Aide Requirements, and is working towards completing their required hours of working with younger Scouts in a leadership role. They are responsible for helping Unit Leaders & Program Aides supervise Scout safety and will lead activities throughout camp with support as needed. Program Aide Interns are expected to learn their assigned activity and be prepared to teach and lead younger Scouts, with support as needed. They are familiar and able to lead their group with Girl Scout Songs and Games. A Program Aid should be engaged with Scouts with a fun and caring attitude and should role model the Girl Scout Law at all times.
